It is important to know that North Carolina is one of the few states that does not allow an individual to transfer a CNA certification from another state to North Carolina. Transfer Nursing Assistant Certification to North Carolina Via Reciprocity You will be required to re-train and/or retest to renew your certification in the state of North Carolina. If you have not worked a minimum of 8 hours over the last 2 years, you will not be able to renew your certification. If you have any questions regarding the form, you can call 91. Nursing assistant training courses in North Carolina will be at least 75 hours to meet the minimum requirements set forth by the Federal government. I have 8 years military medical experience working on med/surg units and labor & delivery, and ambulatory clinics.
